i had a really crappy day but then while i was walking home it started snowing and i came into my room and found my roommates in adorable winter sweaters and boots singing christmas songs and i ended up spending the rest of the evening in my pajama pants with a mug of tea looking at pictures of moths so in the end it wasn’t such a bad day after all

Hey everyone, now that I have a personal blog I’m making this a 100% art blog. That means that I’ll be posting nothing but drawings - there will be no more comments, reblogs, text posts or unrelated personal things. I will be reblogging everything over on my personal blog so that’s where I’ll put comments about my art, as well as a whole bunch of other ramblings and probably some reblogs too. I wanted to contribute to the homestuck anime but I realized I don’t actually know how to draw anime or how to animate so it didn’t go so well

Maybe I’ll add his symbol, finish the shading and do some more realistic movement later if I still feel like it (which is pretty unlikely to be perfectly honest)

It would be pretty nice if I added enough frames for it to look realistic though

So yesterday I was wandering around a craft store when I suddenly decided to make a plushie so I bought some foam and muslin for pattern-making and I was really pretty excited about it but then I got home and realized I have no idea what to make a pattern of

i kind of wanted to do something like this but I’m not sure if it’s a stupid idea or not. it’s supposed to be a griffin thing, but I wasn’t sure whether to do wings or not and I don’t know what color it should be or anything. if anyone can give me an opinion I would appreciate it, I don’t think I have enough foam to make any major changes once I’ve started

I just realized…

there is actual Wacom tablet software

this is how a tablet is supposed to work

the pen is pressure sensitive

the eraser end of the pen erases things instead of drawing

the little scrolly wheel isn’t just a decorative light circle

the corners of the tablet correspond with THE ACTUAL CORNERS OF THE SCREEN

I’m too excited to feel stupid because oh my goodness, wow, this worksSO. MUCH. BETTER. I can finally make pretty paintings like everyone else, this is going to be the best thing ;u;
